  • Pencil. The Ticonderoga brand are the most reliable, make nice dark lines when you need them, and are the easiest to erase. Buying the pre-sharpened ones will save busy teachers a lot of time.
  • Eraser. Large ones you can hold in your hand do a much better job than just the pencil tip erasers, especially when erasing leftover pencil lines after tracing.
  • BlackSharpie Marker. These fine point permanent marker pens make nice black outlines, have a good tip for coloring, and never bleed when they get wet. Use them with good ventilation and add extra paper underneath to protect your tables.
  • Prang Crayons. These are a bit softer than other crayons so they sometimes look like oil pastels. They also have a some nice brown shades that Crayola does not have unless you buy their larger boxes.
  • Crayola Crayons. The reliable brand that always works well. The 24 pack has some of my favorite golden orange and yellow colors that seem a bit richer and warmer than the ones Prang has.

Color The Chocolate Bar

Color the chocolate brown, the torn part of the wrapper a light grey and the rest of the wrapper any color you like .

To make the chocolate look a little more three dimensional make the color/shading on the upper and left edges of the rectangles that make up the bar lighter. Make the shading on their bottom and right sides darker.

The easiest way to color the chocolate is to simply use a brown pencil and press lightly on it for the light areas and harder for the darker ones. If the shaded edges still look to light you can also go over them with a regular pencil to darken them further.

Probability Of Drawing At Least 4 Candy Baars Of The Same Type

Say I have 3 types of candy bars in my bag, Milky Way, Snickers, and Kit Kat. There are 7 of each candy bar. If I draw candy bars out of the bag without replacement, how many candy bars must I draw to guarantee that I have:

a) at least 4 candy bars of the same typeb) at least 4 Milky ways.

I’m really bad at counting so I’m not sure how to do this. For a) I think it’s 10 because if I keep drawing a different bar each time, it would take 10 times to get at least 4 of the same bar. For b) using the same logic, I think it would be 12 times since 4*3. Or am I supposed to use combinations.

  • $\begingroup$For a), consider the “worst” case possible. What can happen if you draw 21 candy bars? b) uses a similar idea.$\endgroup$Jun 10 ’20 at 1:24
  • $\begingroup$This has nothing to do with probability, does it?$\endgroup$ saulspatzJun 10 ’20 at 1:34

First, rename the candy bars so that you don’t have a spelling burden:

  • 3 types of candy bars: A, B, C

  • 7 each

how many candy bars must I draw to guarantee that I have at least 4 candy bars of the same type?

Well, you will have to draw 4 candy bars at least to guarantee that you have “at least 4 candy bars”. Now, do you need more?

If they are all the same then you are done. But in the “worst” case like

A, B, C, C

you need 3 more A , or 2 more C.

A, A, B, C, C

A, A, B, B, C, C

How To Draw A Cartoon Chocolate Bar That Looks Delicious

This tutorial will help you learn to draw a cartoon chocolate bar! This excellent piece of food is your best friend if you need energy or a relief for a broken heart!

It is now known that falling in love and eating a bar of chocolate do have the same effect on the human body! So which one do you prefer? Love or chocolate .

Step 1

Draw a large rectangle to create the body of your chocolate bar.

Step 2

When finished, draw another rectangle outside the first one to create the edge of your bar. This is an easy trick to give depth to an object.

Step 3

Then, draw five rectangles on the left side of your bar. Make sure that all rectangles are similar in sizes. If possible, keep the same distance between each rectangle. It will look more realistic that way!

Step 4

Do the same thing for the other side of your bar. You should now have two straight columns of perfectly aligned rectangles in your bar.

Step 5

Now for each rectangle available inside your bar, draw another rectangle around it. Just like the two rectangles created for the body of the bar, you will use these new rectangles to create the edges of the ten small rectangles.

Step 6

If you wish to do so, you can add a word inside your chocolate bar. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve decided to write the word “sweet” on each of the ten rectangles.

Step 7

This little illustration above will help you understand how to create a nice edge in 3D. Your chocolate bar should be colored with a light brown color .

How To Draw A Candy Cane: Base Sketch

Step 1: Draw the cuved candy cane top

Let’s start our candy cane drawing from the curved top. Draw one small, upside-down and sideways tilted “U”. Then draw another larger one around it. The distance between the two is how thick your candy cane will be.

Step 2: Extend the candy stick side

Next, extend one side of the “U” with two straight lines – this will be the long stick of the candy cane.

Step 3: Close the candy cane shape

Finish drawing the base candy cane shape by closing it with two more “U” shape rounded ends.

Step 4: Draw a bow tie on the candy cane

Next, let’s draw a fancy bow tie on the candy cane. Draw a rectangle with rounded sides over the middle of the cane for the centre bow tie knot. Add two longer rectangles that slightly widen out on the outside for the bow folds. Finally, draw the squiggly lines going down from the knot for the loose bow tie ends.

Step 5: Finish off the bow tie

Let’s finish off the bow tie. Close the loose ends with “V” shaped cutouts. Then draw two flat “S” lines to suggest the fold over in each side wing of the bow tie.

Step 6: Draw the candy cane stripes

Finally, finish the candy cane sketch by adding cross stripes. Here we are drawing narrow white stripes with wider gaps in between them.

Notice how the cross lines start at 90 degrees to the inner edge and then bend towards the outer edge – this makes the cane look round.
