How To Make A Cute Bunny Drawing
This bunnys large head increases its cute factor.
The easiest way to make a cute bunny drawing is by emphasizing or exaggerating certain features. Think of some cute animated bunnies you already know, such as Thumper from Bambi and Snowball from The Secret Life of Pets. Both of those bunnies have proportions that arent anatomically correcttheir oversized heads, with prominent eyes, ears, and pink noses, is what makes them adorable.
Add Shadows And More Definition
Add a new layer above the other layers, use the soft Pencil Brush and add line work to the ears for more definition. Tilt the pencil on the side to add shading.
Update layer to multiply, choose a color slightly darker than the bunny and choose the Soft Touch.
When you add shadows, keep the light source in mind. For instance, for this bunny character, the light is coming from the top-right area.
A dark jacket needs more definition, so use an almost black color and the Harder Hatch brush. For this example, the shadow work is under one layer but you can create a separate layer for each shadow area.
Next, pick the Toothy Pencil to add more definition to the button. Switch back to the Hatch brush depending on how much definition you would like to add to your character.
Follow a similar process to create definition in the bunnys body area. Choose the Toothy Pencil and add color to the bottom part of the bunnys body.
Go to the Bunny layer, choose a light yellow color and select the Shy Pencil. Use it around the edges of your bunny to enhance fur definition.
Dont forget the tail area, use the Shy Pencil to add the fur details. Next, go back to the Shadow layer and choose the Toothy Pencil to make the tail more realistic.

How To Draw A Cute Bunny Face Easily
- OnSeptember 11, 2021
Are you struggling to teach your kid how to draw a bunny face? Has your kid come home from school with a project about drawing a bunny face? And are you wondering how you are going to teach him/her?
Well, dont worry. We are here to help you out. Kids are bound to make mistakes, but you should know how to teach them creatively. With the help of this article, you will be able to make your kid learn how to draw a cute bunny rabbit face. So, lets start!
Add Contrast & Final Details
Add contract to the bunny by adding a light layer to the bunny which adds more definition. This also provides a 3D look and interesting highlights to the cute bunny character.
Create a new layer and choose the whites color palette and update the layer to Add.
You can choose any of the Hatch brushes, but for this example choose the Shader Soft Hatch Brush. Start from the bunnys forehead and lightly bring the brush down and repeat the process to see more dimension in the face. Remember to stay on the right side of the face since the light source is coming from that side and hence, it will look lighter than the left. Do the same to his right ear. For the left ear, start from the top and lightly bring the brush down.
For the nose, choose the Noise Pencil to add highlights.
Next, choose the Shader Soft Hatch Brush to add details around the feet area.
Back to the button, choose the Noise Pencil, bring the opacity down and add details to the button. Now, go to the Hatch Hard brush to add more texture to the cardigan. Do this all on the Add layer. Use the Shy Brush to add more definition to the fur.
Finally, showcase that the bunny is sitting on the ground. Add a new layer above the color layer, choose darker charcoal and switch it to multiply. Choose the Splinter Texture and Hatch Brush textures to form the ground under the bunny as shown in the image below. To add an extra layer of cuteness, add polka dots on the ears of the bunny.

Go Over Your Sketch And Add Details
I then drew on top of my sketch again and filled in all the details.
This is easy if you have a lightbox or draw digitally.
If not, you might want to use ink for this step.
The most difficult part is to make the fur look realistic.
I found that it really help to hold your pen loosely and use swift lines.
Cleaning Up Your Drawing
After you erased the sketch completely you should be left with a pretty realistic bunny.
Dont forget to add some whiskers!
Although I have drawn many cartoon bunnies, this was my first time drawing a bunny that looks real.
And Im pretty happy with the results!
So if I could do it, Im sure you could do it too.
It looks intimidating at first, but just give it a try.

Sketch Your Bunny Step By Step
Fresco makes sketching easy with a powerful suite of drawing tools, but you might be working on paper with the plan to import into a digital space later. Either way, start with the basic shapes of the rabbit and go from there.

Lay down the basic proportions.
Especially if youre going for a more realistic bunny, rather than a cartoon one: The easiest way to approach it is to break the animal down into simple shapes. The best way to do that is to look up a ton of photo references and then think, What shapes do I see in this animal? says illustrator Chioma Iloegbunam.
To start, draw two small circles that are slightly wider than they are tall. The first will be the head of your bunny the second will be the body. Both shapes should be relatively close to one another.
Depending on the perspective of your reference photo, you might need to make the body shape longer than you would for a cartoon bunny. The goal is to sketch the circles, squares, and ovals that you see in your reference, so you can then start working on the pose and perspective of your drawing.

You Can Refer To The Simple Step
Start drawing your rabbit by creating an egg shape, and then shape the body like that. It is then done in the instructions on the face.
Here all you have to do is thicken the lining you drew for the first step, and add the ear to the bunny as you see here.
Use facial instructions to draw and color simple-shaped eyes, then draw a small nose and mouth. Finally, draw a beard, and move on to step four.
Okay, now the rabbits head is ready, you can start working so that the body is drawn. Start by making the lining for the back, then the hind and legs. Next, draw the front legs as you see here and move to the final drawing to complete your bunny.
Draw the abdomen and feet, draw more carrots for the rabbit. Delete the lines and shapes you drew in the first step to prepare your bunny color.

Rabbits are long-eared, ground dwelling mammals. They inhabit places such as deserts, tropical forests, and wetlands. They eat mostly grasses and herbs.
Rabbits are well known for quickly producing offspring. Many rabbits can produce four or five litters of baby bunnies per year. Each litter may have up to seven cute baby bunnies.
Baby bunnies have long, soft fur. It is usually brown or gray in color. And they have a small tuft of delicate fur that makes up their tail. They are quiet and cuddly and can make good pets.

Bunnies are usually silent. But sometimes they thump a foot loudly against the ground. This behavior was imitated in the 1942 animated film Bambi. The baby bunny Thumper loved to repeatedly thump his foot on the ground.
Babs and Buster Bunny are also examples of young rabbits similar to the one in our drawing guide. This brother and sister duo starred in the animated television series Tiny Toon Adventures, where they were among the next generation of Looney Tunes stars.

Create The Character Outline
For this tutorial, we are creating a cute bunny character. First, we start with a basic sketch of the bunny. Create a new layer and choose the Toothy Pencil brush to start creating the shape of the bunny.
Start by making a rounded head followed with the bottom body shape, narrow at the top compared to the bottom.
Dont aim for perfection at this stage, just a basic shape of each body part shaped like a teardrop.
Draw the little feet, arm, jacket and a button.
Pro Tip: To draw cute characters, add accessories to bring out the characters personality and generate more interest in the piece. Small details such as a bow, a jacket, bracelets, a cardigan, etc., will give a character cuteness.
Keep your arm flowing freely while you draw to get more natural strokes and shapes. Dont try to draw the final perfect shape go with the flow.
For this piece, Lisa has used the Oatmeal texture background from the Pencil Pack. The pack comes with three paper textures which gives drawing a realistic look they come as JPEG files and in a Procreate document that is already setup for you, so you can play around with different textures.
For this cute bunny drawing, the palette used is the Seafoam Plush from the Pencil Pack which has shades of green and charcoal. It gives the bunny a sketchy and rustic look. The palette goes really well with dry media.
