Now that the head of your dolphin drawing is complete, you can start to add in the body. First of all, you can use a curved line for the dorsal fin on the back of the dolphin.
Then, you can use a very curved line for the back of the dolphin.

A dolphin has a thick, rounded head, and we will be drawing one in for your dolphin drawing in this second step of our guide on how to draw a dolphin.
To add in the head, carefully draw in a rounded line for the top of the head, and then a slightly less rounded one for the bottom.
I would recommend using a pencil to draw in each stage of the dolphins body, as getting the shape right can be a bit tricky at first!

Draw The Eye & Finish The Line Drawing
Start this final step of the line drawing by first adding the dolphins eye.
Make the bottom portion of the eye a very light curve aligned aligned with the top part of the nose and a tiny distance away from it. As this is a cartoon dolphin draw the outer part of the eye fairly large and the iris/inner part of the eye much smaller. Also draw a little oval shaped highlight inside the eye slightly overlapping the iris.
To finish the line drawing go over it with either darker pencil lines, back pen or marker. Make the iris of the eye black but leave highlight white.

For this step draw the fin and the flippers. Draw the fin curving backwards with a pointier tip and a wide base. To show that the dolphin is in 3/4 view draw the foreground flipper more to the left of the picture and the background flipper more to the right. Also draw them curving in the opposite directions. Again make the flippers wider towards the dolphins body and pointier towards the tips similar to the fin.
Erase the parts of the body that will be overlapped/hidden by the foreground flipper.

How To Draw A Cartoon Dolphin Jumping Out From Water
Step 1: Start to make nice big curve similar to quarter circle. At the left end of curve add small curve for the nose. You can refer image below.
Step 2: Then draw the bottom part of the mouth, for that keep going downward with little strokes. Add small line intersecting mouth in smiling face.
Step 3: Star drawing fin almost triangle-shaped bt little curvy at the same time.
Step 4: Start drawing a long nice curve towards a lower body that is tail, starts to form the end of the fin drawn.
Step 5: Now, at the end draw a tail divided into two parts as shown in the image. Your cute dolphin body shape is ready.
Step 6: Time to add a few details on the body.; Add fin in the front body part and a second one from the lower line of the body.
Step 7: Lets draw the eyes of the dolphin as shown in the image below. Shade the little part to make it look cute and shiny.
Step 8: To make this look picture more complete, draw a few waves, and a drop of water going upward.
