# How To Draw A Question Mark

## Method 4 Of 6:on Android

• 1Go to where you want to post the question mark. Open the app in which you want to enter the question mark, then tap the text field in which you want to post the question mark to bring up the keyboard.XResearch source
• 2Tap ?123 or ?1. It’s in the lower-left side of the keyboard. Doing so brings up the numbers and symbols view.XResearch source
• 3Press and hold the ?. Doing so will prompt a pop-up menu to appear.XResearch source
• 4Select ¿ in the pop-up menu. Drag your finger up to the inverted question mark to select it. Youll know youve chosen it when the symbol is highlighted in blue.XResearch source
• 5Release your finger. This will type the inverted question mark into your selected text field. You can do this as many times as you need to for endless upside down question marks.XResearch source
• You can press and hold on other symbols and letters to access the special characters on your Android.

You can easily add a shadow effect with PowerPoint shape properties but in this case we will use a subtle shadow style like in the picture. In order to add this shadow effect we will use a shape and fill it with a gradient fill to simulate the shadow.

Finally, move the shadow backward and locate it behind the 3D Question Mark.

You can use this approach to make awesome Q&A Slide designs to use as last slide for your PowerPoint presentations or create awesome layouts using Microsoft PowerPoint.

## Method 3 Of 6:on Iphone And Ipad

• 1Go to where you want to post the question mark. Open the app in which you want to enter the question mark, then tap the text field in which you want to post the question mark to bring up the keyboard.XResearch source
• 2Tap 123. It’s in the lower-left corner of the keyboard. This will change the keyboard’s text to numbers and basic symbols.XResearch source
• 3Tap and hold ?. A pop-up menu with an upside-down question mark in it will appear after a brief moment.XResearch source
• Do this lightly, as pressing and holding too hard will activate 3D Touch, not the alternative keys menu.
• 4Swipe up and over to select ¿. Without removing your finger from the screen, slide your finger over to the upside-down question mark to select it. Youll know youve chosen it when the symbol turns blue.XResearch source
• 5Remove your finger. You should see the inverted question mark appear in the selected text field. You can do this as many times as you need to for multiple inverted question marks.XResearch source
• You can also use this trick to insert other special characters, like accented words, on your iPhone and iPad.
• ## Method 3 Of 3:drawing A Rough Hexagon Using Only A Pencil

• 1Draw a horizontal line. To draw a straight line without a ruler, just draw a starting and ending dot for the horizontal line. Then place your pencil on the starting dot and keep your eye on the ending dot as you draw a straight line toward it. This line can be just a few inches or centimeters long.
• 2Draw two diagonal lines from the ends of the horizontal line. The diagonal line on the left side should be opening up toward the left, and the diagonal line on the right side should be opening up toward the right. You can think of each of these lines forming a 120 degree angle with the horizontal line.
• 3Draw two more diagonal lines moving inward from the bottom edges of the first two diagonal lines. They should create a mirror-image of the first two diagonal lines. The line on the bottom left should look like a reflection of the line on the top left, and the line on the bottom right should look like a reflection of the line on the top right. While the top lines were moving outward from the top horizontal line, the bottom lines should move inward from the bottom edges of the top lines, toward the space where the base will be.

## Method 2 Of 3:drawing A Rough Hexagon Using A Round Object And A Ruler

• 1Trace the round rim of a glass with a pencil. This will create a circle. It’s important to use a pencil because you’ll need to erase the marks you made later. You can also trace the rim of an upside-down mug, a jar or food container, or anything else with a round base.
• 2Draw a horizontal line through the center of your circle. You can use a ruler, book, or any straight edge to do this. If you do have a ruler, you can find the halfway mark by measuring the vertical length of the circle and splitting it in half.
• 3Draw an X over the halved circle, splitting it up into 6 equal sections. Since you already have a line running down the middle of the circle, the X will have to be taller than it is wide to keep the pieces even. Just think of this as slicing a pizza into 6 equal pieces.
• 4Turn each of the six sections into triangles. To do this, simply use a ruler to draw a straight line under the curved part of each section, connecting it to the other two straight lines to form a triangle. Repeat this process six times. You can think of this as forming a “crust” around your pizza slices.
• ## How To Draw Circle Square And Triangle Marks In Tikz Picture

The below is part of my TikZ picture:

\begin\draw --;\filldraw circle ;\end

I want to place a “square mark” to denote the point at . How can I place a square mark? Is there anything like

\filldraw  square ;
• 2Perhaps the ‘plot coordinates’ path instruction, combined with ‘mark=…’ is something for you. There is a huge plot mark library which includes, among others, square and triangle markers. Christian FeuersängerJul 24 ’12 at 20:17
• 2You can add a square with \filldraw rectangle ++;. Adding will center it vertically as the circle is. Peter GrillJul 24 ’12 at 20:22

Three solutions: the first one, using the basic shapes circle and rectangle, and the regular polygon shape from the shapes library . The second and third ones use the plotmarks library; in the second one, the line and the marks are drawn independently ; in the third solution, the plot coordinates syntax is used, together with the mark=<mark> option :

\documentclass\usepackage\usetikzlibrary\usetikzlibrary\begin\begin\draw --;\filldraw  circle ;\filldraw  rectangle ++;\node at  ;\draw --;\node at  };\node at  };\node at  };\draw plot coordinates  -- plot coordinates  --  plot coordinates ;\end\end

The following code shows how to change the size and color of the marks for the second and third solutions:

\documentclass\usepackage\usetikzlibrary\begin\begin\draw --;\node at };\node at };\node at };\draw plot coordinates -- plot coordinates -- plot coordinates ;\end\end

## Method 1 Of 3:drawing A Perfect Hexagon Using A Compass

• 1Draw a circle with a compass. Place a pencil in your compass. Widen the compass to an appropriate width for the radius of your circle. It can be just a few inches or centimeters wide. Next, place the point of the compass on the paper and sweep the compass around until you’ve created a circle.
• Sometimes it’s easier to draw a half-circle in one direction, and then to come back and draw another half-circle in the other direction.
• 2Move the compass point to the edge of the circle. Move it towards the top of the circle. Do not change the angle or settings of the compass.
• 3Make a small mark on the edge of the circle with the pencil. Make it distinct, but not too dark — you’ll be erasing it later. Remember to maintain the angle you’ve set for the compass.
• 4Move the compass point to the mark you made. Place the point right on the mark.
• 5Make another mark on the edge of the circle with a pencil. This should create a second mark a distance away from the first mark. If youâve been moving clockwise or counterclockwise around the circle, continue to do so.
• 6Make the last four marks using the same method. You should end up back at the mark where you originally started. If you donât, itâs likely that the angle of your compass changed while you worked, possibly from squeezing it too firmly or letting it loosen a bit.
• ## How To Create A 3d Question Mark In Powerpoint 2010

This tutorial will guide you to help creating an awesome 3D Question Mark illustration using Microsoft PowerPoint built-in functions in order to make Q&A PowerPoint slides or just inserting nice question marks in your presentations. We will try to achieve the question mark shown in the figure below with a nice shadow and bevel effect. If we insert a question mark character in PowerPoint then it is easy to make it look as a 3D Question Mark. Here we will show you how to do it.

## To Draw A Section Line And Marks

Use this procedure to draw a section line with a section mark at each end. You draw a section line by specifying a start point, an endpoint, a length, and a height for the section. You can specify additional points between the start point and the endpoint to create jogs in the section. The section line acts as a cutting plane, slicing a section from the building model.

• On the default tool palette set, click the Design tab, and then click the Vertical Section tool.

If necessary, scroll the palette to display the tool that you need.

Note: Alternatively, click Home tabSection & Elevation panel

• Specify the start point of the section line.
• Continue to specify points to define the section line, if needed.

You can create jogs in the section line to cut through portions of the building model that you want to show in the section, but which are not along a single straight path.

• Specify the endpoint of the section line, and press Enter.

Specifying section line start and end points in 3D view

• Specify the length of the section, or press Enter to accept the length taken from the endpoints of the line.

The section line is displayed in the drawing. Depending on the direction in which you drew the section line, the section marks point in the direction of the section.

• The section marks are multi-view blocks, anchored to the section line. You can edit the section marks to change the information displayed in the bubbles.

## Method 6 Of 6:using Inverted Question Marks

• 1Use inverted question marks in Spanish, Galacian, and Catalan. The Spanish language has been using inverted question marks since the beginning of the 18th century, and its the most popular language to do so. Similar languages, like Galacian and Catalan, also use the inverted question mark, but they arent quite as well-known.XResearch source
• The Royal Spanish Academy made it a rule in the 18th century, which is why its still used today.
• 2Put an inverted question mark at the beginning of a question. If youre studying a language that uses an inverted question mark, youll use it whenever you write out a question. The inverted question mark goes at the beginning, and the regular question mark goes at the end. For example:XResearch source
• 3Separate the question from the rest of the sentence. If youre writing a sentence that has both a statement and a question in it, you can separate the two using your inverted question mark. The question marks only need to surround the question, so you can write it like this:XResearch source
• Hola, ¿cómo estás?
• How do I do an inverted exclamation point?Alx MCommunity AnswerAll you do is hold down the alt key and press 1. This is for an apple computer/laptop. I’m not sure how to do it on a PC.Thanks!
• How do I make the upside down question mark on a Chromebook?Community AnswerOpen a browser and search for “upside down question mark,” then copy and paste it into a text field. Thanks!

## Method 4 Of 4:using The Symbols Menu On Mac

• 1Open your Microsoft Word document. Double-click the Word document into which you want to insert a checkmark.
• If you want to create a new document, instead select the Word app icon from your Applications folder, click File, and click the New Document option.
• 2Select a place to insert the checkmark. Scroll to the point where you want to insert your checkmark, then click it. You should see a blinking cursor appear there.
• 3 This menu item is at the top of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear.
• 4 You’ll find this option at the bottom of the Edit drop-down menu. Doing so opens the Character Viewer window.
• 5 It’s on the left side of the Character Viewer window.XResearch source
• You may first have to click the “Expand” icon, which is a box-shaped icon in the top-right corner of the window.
• 6Find the checkmark symbol. You’ll find several different checkmark symbols in the middle of the window.
• ## Method 5 Of 6:on A Chromebook

• 1Open the Settings in the lower right hand corner. Its the little gear icon next to your user profile in the bottom of your screen. Clicking on this will open up your settings so you can adjust your keyboard and screen.XResearch source
• 2 Youll see a few options for which languages you can input or select.XResearch source
• 3Select Input method, then check the box next to US International Keyboard. This will allow your keyboard to switch in between languages. If you want to, you can specify which language youd like to use on this page, too.XResearch source
• If you dont specify a language, it will be a basic international one with special characters and symbols.
• 4Toggle between keyboards by pressing Ctrl + Spacebar. When you want to switch over to your new keyboard, hit the 2 keys at the same time. Now, you can use your keyboard to type special characters.XResearch source
• 5Type rightAlt + /. Make sure your cursor is in the spot that youd like your upside down question mark. Hit the 2 keys at the same time and watch your upside down question mark appear on the screen.XResearch source
• If you dont want to switch between keyboards, you can use your normal keyboard and type Ctrl + Shift + u + 00bf.
• ## Verilog Question Mark Operator

I’m trying to translate a Verilog program into VHDL and have stumbled across a statement where a question mark operator is used in the Verilog program.

The following is the Verilog code;

I don’t understand the 8th line, could anyone please shed some light on this?I’ve read on the asic-world website that the question mark is the Verilog alternate for the Z character. But I don’t understand why it’s being used in this context.

Kind regards

That’s a ternary operator. It’s shorthand for an if statement

Format:

condition ? if true : if false

Example:

Translates to something like :

if tone is 1, counter = clkdivider-1else counter = clkdivider/2-1

Another way of writing, e.g. the following Verilog:

q <= tone ? clkdivider-1 : clkdivider/2-1;

in VHDL would be:

## Step 2 Change Rotation Options And Bevel Effect

Using the Format Text Effects dialog box you can select the 3D options including the 3D rotation which will help you to rotate the text by any desired rotation degree.

You can also choose the Arial Black font face in order the font look more weighted. Here is an example after choosing the 3D Text options and Arial Black font.

After choosing the rotation options you can also change the 3D Format options. Here you can choose the bevel level and the Depth. In this example we have used 40 pt for the depth and 15 pt for width and height in the Bevel field.

## Method 1 Of 4:using Word On Windows

• 1Open your Microsoft Word document. Double-click the Word document into which you want to insert a checkmark.
• If you want to create a new document, instead double-click the Word app icon, then click Blank document on the main page.
• 2Select a place to insert the checkmark. Scroll to the point where you want to insert your checkmark, then click it. You should see a blinking cursor appear there.
• 3 It’s in the blue ribbon that’s at the top of the Word window.
• 4 It’s the Omega symbol in the far-right side of the Insert toolbar. A drop-down menu will appear.
• 5 You’ll usually find it in the Symbols drop-down menu. Doing so will insert the checkmark into your Word document in the space in which your mouse’s cursor is located.
• 6Find the checkmark icon if it isn’t in the drop-down menu. If you can’t find the checkmark icon in the Symbol drop-down menu, do the following:
