Finish The Plane Drawing
To finish the drawing you can add some color. For this example the two main colors are blue and yellow with the inside of the engine being grey. The light yellow will make the plane stand out a little bit more from a white background while the blue is a good complimentary color to it.
The easiest way to color the plane is probably with colored pencils or paints as markers may be a little too bright.

How To Draw An Airplane Easy
The very structure of an airplane is easy to transform as if it were a human, since its huge front windows look like eyes, and its wings look like arms. Thats what I take advantage of with the drawing above. It is a drawing of a childrens plane, with tender features and painted in a range of pink tones.
On this other plane in flight, he also has a cartoon drawing, but this time without making him human features. In this drawing I have colored it thinking about the tastes of the little ones, because they will enjoy it, and later I leave you the same plane but without colors, so that you can print it and color it to your liking.
In this other example you have a passenger plane, but made a cartoon, with your eyes and eyebrows set.
And in this other drawing we already have a more modest plane, we could almost say that it is a very nice plane, with its mouth smiling and its big eyes.

Design Class: How To Draw Simple Rc Airplane Plans
After last week’s Design Class drawing tutorial, let’s take the design process to the next step – this article is all about creating your own plans the traditional way, with a pencil and ruler. We’ll cover the equipment and techniques that makes it super easy for anyone to draw 1:1 scale RC airplane plans.
What you’ll need
Of course, these days, many people use software to draw airplane plans. For this tutorial, though, I’m going to try and make it as simple as possible to help you come up with your own plans. For this reason, all you’re going to need are a few physical items.;
First off, grab what you’re going to be drawing on. In the past, I used large A1 sheets of paper until I discovered that you could use rolls of lining paper picked up from the DIY store. For how much paper you get, the price is great! Having large sheets to draw on is very handy when trying to draft a large 1:1 scale design.;
Rather obviously, you’re also going to need to have something to draw with. Get yourself a few sharp pencils and put them in a pot. To keep these maintained, keep a sharpener somewhere nearby you can reach easily. Also, make sure to have a rubber in case you make a mistake.;
In terms of drawing aids, an ruler is an absolute must. Most of the time, a standard 12″ ruler is just fine, but often you might need to draw longer lines. For this, you’re probably going to want to get yourself a meter ruler.;

Drawing a cartoon airplane: some fun facts before starting sketching!
- A 747 has 6 million different parts!
- 90% of planes crashes do have survivors! That’s why it is considered a safe way to travel.
- The 747 carries more than 62 000 gallons of fuel.
Drawing an airplane can not be done without studying all the features of this great machine! This is more technical than the previous examples but it’s still a lot of fun!
Take a close look at the nose , the main wings , the tail , the landing gears and the turbojet engines . Notice how the two main wings are almost as long as the fuselage.
Taking a look at the shapes of our plane, we can see some triangles for the wings and a long oval shape for the fuselage. The nose is a little lower to give a perfect view of what’s ahead for the crew. The main leading gears are located on the main wings, a couple of feet near the fuselage.
Let’s try to sketch this plane from a side view. Draw an oval for the fuselage. Take a good look at both end of this shape to draw it right. Next, add the main wings and the tail. Try to keep the proportions as right as you can.
Now draw the engines, the nose and the windshield. You can also add the windows along the fuselage. I’ve added some shadows on this example to make my plane more visually attractive.
