How To Draw A 5 Point Star In Autocad
Sometime I wish AutoCAD had a single command named star that will allow me to quickly draw a star, dont you think it will be nice?
What makes AutoCAD cool is the fact that you can nearly draw anything starting from scratch, and this is a factor that allow you to have a very unique design and give you the ability to be in control of every single line in you design.
AutoCAD allows you to create blogs, this will prevent you having to draw something twice for different design over time. You just have to draw it once, convert it into a bloc and keep it for next use.
Here is a quick tutorial on how to draw a 5 points star in nearly 5 simple clicks.
How to Draw a 5 point star in autocad
Step 1. Draw a polygon
Draw a polygon with 5 sides.
Step 2. Connect edges of the Polygon such as shown on the figure below

Images like this can present unforeseen challenges even though they seem simple at first, so we hope that this guide made it fun and easy for you to work on.
You can keep the fun going as you add your own spin to this drawing as well. We went over some ideas for how to do this, and they included anything from adding additional details to experimenting with colors and mediums.
This is your drawing, so you can have a lot of fun as you get creative and add your own touches to it!
This guide that you just completed is one of many that we have for you on our website. This list of guides gets updated frequently, so be sure to keep visiting so that you never miss out!
Now Draw The Trail For The Shooting Star
As we mentioned in the previous step of your shooting star drawing, we shall begin adding the trail that it leaves behind in this and the following step.
To do this, you can put away your ruler as you wont be needing it anymore. Instead, we will be drawing some curved lines from here on out, and this can require a bit more patience and a steady hand!
Start by drawing a curved line coming down from the top tip of the star to the arm on the left. Then, extend another much longer line down from the tip on the left-hand side.
Finish off by extending another line from the inverted tip on the left and then have it connect with the previous curved line that you drew.

Materials For A Star Drawing
- Pencil. The Ticonderoga brand are the most reliable, make nice dark lines when you need them, and are the easiest to erase. Buying the pre-sharpened ones will save busy teachers a lot of time.
- Eraser. Large ones you can hold in your hand do a much better job than just the pencil tip erasers, especially when erasing leftover pencil lines after tracing.
- BlackSharpie Marker. These fine point permanent marker pens make nice black outlines, have a good tip for coloring, and never bleed when they get wet. Use them with good ventilation and add extra paper underneath to protect your tables.
- Prang Crayons. These are a bit softer than other crayons so they sometimes look like oil pastels. They also have a some nice brown shades that Crayola does not have unless you buy their larger boxes.
- Crayola Crayons. The reliable brand that always works well. The 24 pack has some of my favorite golden orange and yellow colors that seem a bit richer and warmer than the ones Prang has.
Finish Off The Outline For The Shooting Star
For the third part of our guide on how to draw a shooting star, we will be finishing off with the rest of the outline for the star itself.
Once again, we will be using a ruler to add another point onto the star, and then some more lines connecting this new point to the prior one.
That will complete the outline for the star, and in the next few steps we will be adding the trail that it is leaving behind as it flies through the sky.

Way To Draw A Star For Kids
Step 1 First we start by drawing 2 lines like the addition symbol.
Step 2 By following the outlines, draw 5 rounded tips of the star as depicted and connect them with smooth curves.
Step 3 Draw some oval shaped eyes with reflections in it as shown. Just erase the 2 lines.
Step 4 Now you are done with your star for kids. But dont forget to give some color to your star.
Next Draw In The Left Arm Of The Star
For the next few steps, we will be replicating the first arm of the starfish that you drew in step 1.
To keep the arms close to the same length, it can help to measure how long the lines of the first star arm are and then make sure that the lines that will form the other arms are of the same length.

And Then A Star Is Born
When you come across the center with your fourth line, its very important that the left and right lengths are equal. No, it doesnt have to be perfect but do get it close. Heres how the rest plays out
So long as the distance of line number four is equal on both the left and right sides of the center, your fifth and final line will be no problem at all to draw. And so, go ahead and draw it in!
Well, five lines later and youve got a doodle-type star. But thats not what were after. To make your star a true cartoon star, theres one last step that I suggest you take
Simply erase the small pentagon that forms between the five lines. Or, if you like go re-sketch the star very lightly in pencil and then go over the perimeter in something more permanent. This leaves you with a much nicer-looking star, one that you can use in all sorts of drawing-related situations.
And there you have it thats how to draw simple cartoon stars!
Figuring Measurements Of A 5
Have a frame and want to know how many feet of light strings youll want to go around the perimeter or across the points?
Want to form a star of a particular height? Take a look at the photos.
Note, this is for a Symmetrical Star all 5 points have the same angle, and all 10 outer sides along the perimeter are equal.
- The angle in any point of the star is 36 degrees.
- If you bisect the angle in any point , each angle is 18 degrees.
Because this angle is always the same, given only the measurement along one of the outer sides of the star, as long as it is a Symmetrical Star, you can calculate the other dimensions. Or given one of the other dimensions, you can calculate the side.
The parts of this Symmetrical Star are always in the same ratios or proportions to each other. So theyre easy to calculate.

What Is The Christmas Star
This winter solstice, 21st December, the two largest planets Jupiter and Saturn appeared closer together in the sky then they have for some 800 years. It was rumoured that they will be so close that they will look like one bright star. There is some debate about this but whether they will or not depends on where you are in the world, how good your eyesight is and the weather conditions. If you have poor eyesight, you may well see them as one bright star, and due to the time of year, its no surprise that people are calling it a Christmas Star. Last night was overcast where I live and the best night for seeing the stars during this conjunction may turn out to be Christmas Eve.
So what was the original Christmas Star? Some believe that the unusually large bright star referred to in the Bible that appeared at Jesus birth was a conjunction of planets. But that is just one of a number of theories. We dont know the year of Jesus birth or even the time of year for sure.
5. Draw a line connecting the two crosses.
6. Place the point of your compass in the centre of your circle and draw two more arcs as shown below.
7. Place the point of your compass on the intersection of the horizontal line with the left-hand side of the circle and draw to more arcs that cross with the previous two.
8. Join the two crosses you have just created with a second vertical line. This line runs parallel to the original vertical line.

How To Draw A Star From The Letter A: Sketching
Step 1: Draw an upside-down V
We start our star drawing with an upside down letter V. Draw two lines at angle from the same point. Have a look at the picture, and try to keep the angle between the lines about the same as shown here.
Draw the lines just lightly, as parts of these will be just a guideline which we will want to erase later.
Step 2: Make the V into A
Draw the next line horizontal and place it about two thirds up our upside-down V. The line is the same length as the other two lines. The result looks a bit like the letter A now.
Step 3: Draw the final two sides of the star
In this step, we connect both ends of the horizontal line to the opposite bottom leg of our A letter to complete our star drawing.

Draw A Center Line Then A Circle
For this Instrucatble, I used a graphics editor in an image 800×800. But for your star or stars, youll simply decide, based on your project, how big you need the star to be. The largest I have ever made is on a 4.5 radius for a Captain America shield, but you can go as big or small as you need.
First: find center of your circle and draw a center line through it at least the length of the diameter of the size you need for your star. A little big is better.
Second: draw the circle of the radius size for your star.

Finish Off Your Shooting Star Drawing
Before you add some color to your artwork, we will add the final details in this step of our guide on how to draw a shooting star. To do this, we will be adding two more curved lines.
These lines will both extend from the two lower points of the star, and they will then connect at the tip formed from the two curved lines from the previous step.
Once you have drawn these trail lines, you are ready for the final step! You can also add some details of your own as well before you move on.
