Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, dont press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Start by drawing a big circle. The circle doesnt have to be perfect. Its only a guide for Peter Griffins head.
Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the head shape, one vertical and one horizontal. When drawing these lines, bend them slightly so they contour to the shape of the head. These are construction lines that will help you place Peter Griffins facial features later on.
Step 3: Right where the construction lines intersect, draw a small circle as a guide for Peter Griffins nose.
Step 4: Sitting on top of the horizontal line on either side of the vertical line, draw small circles as guides for Peter Griffin’s eyes. The circle on the right is behind the nose, so dont draw the whole circle.
Step 5: Draw a guide for Peter Griffin’s mouth below the horizontal construction line and on the left side of the vertical construction line. The shape is similar to a wide letter U with a line across the top of it that extends to the other side of the vertical construction line.
Step 7: Draw Peter Griffin’s glasses by darkening the small circles. Draw a small line between them and a longer line as the earpiece on the left side.

Early History And Cancellation
Family Guy officially premiered after Fox’s broadcast of Super Bowl XXXIII on January 31, 1999, with “Death Has a Shadow“. The show debuted to 22 million viewers, and immediately generated controversy regarding its adult content. The show returned on April 11, 1999, with “I Never Met the Dead Man“. Family Guy garnered decent ratings in Fox’s 8:30 pm slot on Sunday, scheduled between The Simpsons and The X-Files. At the end of its first season the show ranked at No. 33 in the Nielsen ratings, with 12.8 million households tuning in. The show launched its second season in a new time slot, Thursday at 9 pm, on September 23, 1999. Family Guy was pitted against NBC’s Frasier, and the series’ ratings declined sharply. Subsequently, Fox removed Family Guy from its schedule, and began airing episodes irregularly. The show returned on March 7, 2000, at 8:30 pm on Tuesdays, where it was constantly beaten in the ratings by ABC‘s then-new breakout hit Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, coming in at No. 114 in the Nielsen ratings with 6.32 million households tuning in. Fox announced that the show had been canceled in May 2000, at the end of the second season. However, following a last-minute reprieve, on July 24, 2000, Fox ordered 13 additional episodes of Family Guy to form a third season.

Eyes Ears And Finishing Details
Step 4: To add Stewie’s eyes draw two big circles on either side of his nose. Then draw the pupil of the eye in the center. Next add in the eye lids. The upper eyelids slant down towards the nose, and the bottom eyelids slant upwards the nose .
Step 5: Stewie’s ear are very simple. On each side of his head, where the points are, draw a “C” shape and then add a little line inside and that’s all.
Step 6: Adding Stewie’s hair and eye brows. His eye brows are easy they follow the same slant as his upper eyelid, right above his eyes. Not too long but not too short either. His hair is also simple. just little curved lines starting just past his head and extending inward. All around his head.
Well that’s all there is to it. It may not look exactly like Stewie but like I said you have to work the shapes just perfect. So make any corrections and also try different eyes and mouth for different expressions. Have fun!
